New shop a year in

Its hard to believe it will be a year soon since we moved into the new shop here at Keene Signworx. It has been a great year both for business and for our enjoyment at work and play. I never imagined that the new shop and studio would transform our work days so much. Some of this is built in efficiencies from having designed the shop space and some of it is the result of the positive energy from working in such a pleasant space. It is bright, sunny and clean. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer with very little energy. We have separate spaces for design, graphics production, fabricating, painting, final assembly and decorating. The building faces south and has a nice wooded acre for Elsie, the shop dog, to chase squirrels and keep watch on us. On top of this across the road is Yale forest with a great system of mountain bike trails. Nothing like a mid-day mountain bike ride to clear the head and get the creative juices. In the coming months I will post shots of all the different areas in the new shop from the new welding bench to the show room and even the German Buderus high efficiency boiler so check back and take the shop tour.
